A small studio,
a long commitment

Vorxenordhon began as a quiet personal practice — making bags for ourselves, then for friends, then for anyone who wanted something made with real intention. We are based in New Berlin, Wisconsin and have been working this way since our first order.

Where we come from

The studio at vorxenordhon.world grew out of a frustration that most of us recognize: an inability to find bags and pouches that were both honest in their materials and made to last. The market offers plenty — but not much of it is built with care for longevity or the environment.

We started cutting fabric at a kitchen table. The first pieces were simple — drawstring pouches, flat totes in raw canvas. They were not complicated, but they were well made. People noticed, and inquiries followed. Over time we established a proper studio space at 3830 S Moorland Rd in New Berlin, equipped with industrial sewing machines, a proper cutting table, and a small inventory of rotating fabrics.

Our approach has not changed. We take custom orders, work through each specification with the client, and produce every piece by hand from start to finish. We have never outsourced any part of the making process.

What guides us

The Japanese concept of wabi-sabi is a useful frame for our work. It describes an appreciation for things that are imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete — things made by hand that carry the mark of their making. A stitch pattern that is ever so slightly irregular. A canvas that shows its weave. Hardware that develops a patina. These qualities are not flaws; they are evidence of material and process.

We make things that are meant to be used. To be carried daily, stuffed full, washed occasionally, and still functional years later. We are not interested in producing accessories that are pristine in a display case but fragile in practice.

How we work with clients

Every engagement starts with a conversation. Whether you come to us with a very specific brief or only a vague sense of what you need, we work through the details together — dimensions, fabric, closure type, interior configuration, hardware finish. We ask questions and we listen carefully.

Once we have a specification, we provide a timeline and a simple agreement. Production begins, and we share progress at key stages if you would like to be involved. The finished piece is available for pickup at our studio in New Berlin or can be shipped across the United States.

We also work with small businesses, shops, and organizations who need fabric accessories in consistent quantities. Please reach out via our contact page to discuss wholesale or repeat order arrangements.

Principles we
work by

Made by Hand

No part of our production process is automated or outsourced. Every cut, seam, and finish is handled directly in our studio.

Natural Materials

We work with fabrics that have a low environmental footprint — organic, undyed, or made from post-consumer recycled content.

Built to Last

We reinforce seams, choose quality hardware, and select materials that age gracefully rather than degrade quickly.

Honest Communication

We tell clients what is achievable, share timelines accurately, and communicate openly if anything changes during production.

The Wabi-Sabi Approach

We value imperfection and impermanence. Handmade objects carry the mark of their making — that is not a flaw, that is the point.

Locally Made

Our studio is in New Berlin, Wisconsin. We are part of this community, and we make everything here.
