How We Work
The production
process
At vorxenordhon.world, making is a considered act. Each bag or pouch passes through four carefully managed stages before it leaves our New Berlin studio — ensuring the piece you receive is built to last and true to your specifications.
01
Material Selection
Every project begins with fabric. We maintain an evolving inventory of organic linen, undyed canvas, waxed cotton, and responsibly sourced recycled textiles. Before any bolt is cut, we assess weight, density, and surface character — verifying that each material will hold its shape and age well over time.
For custom orders, we share fabric samples with you during consultation so you can feel the weight and texture firsthand before confirming your choice.
02
Pattern Drafting & Cutting
Each piece is made from a hand-drafted pattern. For standard styles, we work from refined templates developed over many iterations. For custom dimensions, patterns are drafted to your exact measurements, accounting for seam allowances, structural reinforcements, and hardware placement.
Fabric is cut in single layers using sharp shears or a rotary blade — never stacked — to ensure every piece is individually true to the pattern.
03
Stitching & Assembly
Stitching is the heart of our process. We use industrial machines set to specific tension and stitch length for each fabric type. Seams are sewn twice where structural integrity matters most — at handles, corners, and any attachment points for hardware or closures.
Bar tacks are added at stress points. Edges are finished with a serger or folded and topstitched depending on the style. Nothing is left raw where wear is likely.
04
Finishing & Quality Review
The final stage is unhurried. Hardware is attached — zippers set, rivets pressed, magnetic snaps seated — and the piece is pressed with a fabric-appropriate iron. We inspect every seam by hand, check all closures for smooth operation, and review the overall silhouette against the original specification.
Only pieces that pass this review are packaged and prepared for delivery or pickup. If anything doesn't meet our standard, it returns to the workbench.
What We Use
Our material
palette
We work with a focused selection of fabrics, chosen for their environmental profile, durability, and the way they feel in the hand.
Organic Linen
Naturally breathable and antimicrobial, linen softens with use. We source undyed and naturally pigmented weights suitable for pouches and lightweight totes.
Undyed Canvas
Dense and durable, our canvas is unbleached and chemical-free. It develops a honest patina over years of use and holds structured forms exceptionally well.
Waxed Cotton
A traditional British fabric finish that repels light moisture and adds a subtle sheen. Ideal for utility pouches and outdoor-facing accessories.
Recycled Nylon
For clients who need a lighter, weather-resistant option, we offer recycled nylon blends sourced from post-consumer and post-industrial material streams.
Interior Linings
We line pouches and structured totes in organic cotton muslin or recycled polyester, keeping interior surfaces clean and functional.
Hardware
Brass, antique brass, and matte black finishes in solid brass or zinc alloy. We avoid cheap plated hardware that chips and corrodes over time.
